Lee’s Resume J. Lee Lehman has an M.S. and PhD. in Botany from Rutgers - the State University of New Jersey. Lee began doing independent computer consulting in 1981, becoming a database specialist, primarily designing accounting and custom billing systems for clients under Unix and several proprietary operating systems. Before Access became the de-facto standard, she programmed in a large number of different databases, including dBase and filePro. As commercial accounting systems became more robust and adaptable, she switched to web applications and broader issues of information storage and retrieval. Because of her work with Kepler College, she also became an expert at educational course software, and the various programs necessary for developing successful on-line teaching. Lee began designing web pages in 1994. Because of her programming background, her interests have tended toward the more technical side. However, as the author of four books, Lee has strong writing interests and background, and is able to work with clients to produce the kind of web site content necessary for successful search engine optimization.
